After years of waiting, Nurture Me Birth Services now offers professional postpartum doula services to all pregnant women! These services are provided by our DONA trained postpartum doulas who are also CPR certified and American Montessori Society Certified. A postpartum doula provides support to the mother after the baby is born, helping with both the house and the baby. Their goal is to help every woman have a supported, empowering postpartum recovery. Research suggests that women who experience multi-source support during postpartum (days/weeks after baby is born) have greater breastfeeding success, greater self-confidence, less postpartum depression, and a lower incidence of abuse than those who do not. Our two postpartum doulas, Melanie and Lauren, are experienced mothers offering professional, loving, individualized care to new mothers and their infant.
